but you're still on my lonely mind...
i supose there are two places I remember that tie my present to my past. I can remember my grandparents on my mom's side and my dad's moms house. I was rather young when I last visited my mom's parents house bcause my grandfather died when i was young and after that my grandmother moved here to GA. I have very fond memories of their house though, big yard, dogs, tire swing, playing in a huge puddle (which was the size of a small lake when you're five years and fall in wearing a white dress with black scotty dogs on it), stepping in an ant bed and my cousin making me shoes out of bandaids, lots of stuff. but the most memorable place that i can think of is my grandmother's house, my dad's mom. ever since like third grade i've visited her house very summer. it was like, a very important part of my summer. she died in the spring, so i didn't go this last summer. she lives in Wyoming and the town she lives in is like completely boring. the highlight was definately the city pool with the huge slide (when i was little at least) as i grew older, I enjoyed going there just so i could relax. it was time to breathe, time to stop talking on the phone all the time and being constantly active and doing school like mad. I haven't had a break like that in a long time. maybe i need one.
